Objects to Design

In the Objects to Design table, all "object types" in the model that are suitable for the concrete design are listed row by row:

  • Members
  • Member Sets
  • Member Representatives
  • Member Set Representatives
  • Surfaces (RFEM only)
  • Nodes with Punching (RFEM only)

Selecting Objects to Design

The check box in the "Design All" column allows you to quickly select all available objects for the design. Thus, the entry in the "Selected Objects" column is blocked, and all object numbers of a type are selected; for example, all members or all surfaces.

As an alternative, you can manually specify which objects should be analyzed in the design. To do this, deactivate the "Design All" check box and then enter the numbers of the relevant objects in the "Selected Objects" column. You can also use the Select Individually button at the end of a row to select the objects graphically.

Not Valid or Deactivated Objects

The "To Design" and "Not Valid / Deactivated" columns are filled in automatically. Thus, all members of an invalid material for the concrete design (steel, timber) or an invalid cross-section (rolled sections) are detected and deactivated for the design. Likewise, all members designed as a member set are deactivated.

Info

With the default setting "Design All", only all valid' objects are designed. Invalid objects, such as steel or timber members, are automatically deactivated in the concrete design.

Removing Objects from Design

If you want to exclude a (valid) object from the design, enter its number in the "Removed from Design" column. Thus, the "To Design" column includes all objects for which the design is performed.

Important

If you have manually removed or deselected objects from the design, no warning message appears for these objects in the result tables.
