Parts can be divided either with all existing intersecting lines or with the selected intersecting lines only.
To divide a part with all intersecting lines, select the part and use the ‘’‘With All Intersecting Lines’ command in the shortcut menu.
If you only want to divide the part with certain intersecting lines, first select the part and the corresponding intersecting lines, then use the ‘’‘With Selected Intersecting Lines’ command in the shortcut menu.
RSECTION creates openings in the part and creates the resulting areas as new parts. The material is taken from the original part and can then be adjusted.
The following image shows a cross-section with an integrated area that is created as a new part by the division.
