In addition to the general Mesh Settings, you can influence the FE mesh generation by means of specific mesh refinements, for example, to achieve finer discretization for connection areas. Mesh refinements often represent a good compromise between result accuracy and computing time.
In principle, you can use four types of FE mesh refinements:
- Nodal Mesh Refinements for refinement areas around a node
- Line Mesh Refinements for refinements along a line
- Surface Mesh Refinements for refinements on a surface
- Solid Mesh Refinements for refinements in a solid
