When modeling, you have the option to define a perpendicular line from a node or any point to a line. You can access the function on the Tools menu by selecting Modify Lines → Create Perpendicular Line from Point to Line (see image
Modeling Tools
). Alternatively, you can use the
button in the CAD toolbar.
Click the node or any point in the work window. As soon as you move the mouse pointer over a line, you can see the perpendicular to this line in a preview. If several perpendicular lines are possible, as for an arc, the perpendicular is created on the point of the selected line that is closest to the mouse pointer.
