The data exchange with MS Excel is based on the Dlubal API (SOAP). It allows both the import of structural and load data into the current table and the export of results as an Excel file and in JSON format.
There are three buttons available in the table toolbar for data exchange with MS Excel.
Settings for Import and Export
With the button
, you can open a dialog where you can make general settings for import and export.
In the 'Table Parameters' category, you can determine how the table's header is handled during data exchange. The 'Transmission Parameters' category contains control options for direct communication with MS Excel.
Import Table
Open the Excel workbook. If the worksheet has headers, deactivate the 'Including Table Header' checkbox in the dialog Excel Settings. This will ignore the headers during import and only transfer the lists to the table. When importing an entire workbook, the order and structure of the worksheets must fully match the RFEM tables.
Click the
button to start the import.
Export Table
With the options of the drop-down button
, you can export the current table to MS Excel or to the JSON format.
MS Excel is automatically opened. The worksheet contains the content of the RFEM table, including headers.
When exporting to JSON, specify the file location.
