CAD Lines

With CAD lines, you can create construction lines and also assign them to layers. CAD lines thus facilitate the construction of model objects.

Various types of CAD lines are available for selection in the Navigator context menu.

Alternatively, use the button in the toolbar (top right next to the layer buttons) to open the 'New CAD Line' dialog box.

You can define CAD lines in the same way as the corresponding "real" lines of the model.

CAD lines in layers

CAD lines can be assigned to a Layer and managed in the Layer Manager. This allows you to use the CAD lines specifically when constructing model objects.

Assign CAD lines to a Layer

To assign a CAD line to a layer, proceed as follows:

1. Select the CAD line.
2. Activate the 'Object Properties' panel using the button in the toolbar. Alternatively, double-click the CAD line.
3. Select the appropriate entry from the 'Layer' list in the panel category.
