The engineering office of Jürgen Ehlenz, a customer of Dlubal Software, was in charge of the structural analysis and design of the boiler house, including the connection design.
The marina hotel is situated between Friedrichshafen and Lindau, on Lake Constance, one of the most attractive regions in Germany.
However, this exclusive location offers some challenges which must be considered in the structural engineering. For example, actions due to wind and earthquakes are considerably increased in the area around the lake.
The ladle car transports two slag ladles, each with a weight of 99.2 t.
The feed hopper is a part of the conveyor belt system realized in Uzbekistan.
The engineering office of Jürgen Ehlenz, a customer of Dlubal Software, was responsible for structural analysis and detailed design, as well as construction drawings of the feed hopper and other parts of the conveyor system.
The tripper car bridge is a part of the conveyor belt structure realized in Uzbekistan.
The engineering office of Jürgen Ehlenz, a customer of Dlubal Software, was responsible for the structural analysis and detailed design of the conveyor bridge and other parts of the conveyor belt system.
The grate scaffolding of the biomass power plant in Berlin-Neukölln, Germany, is a structure with a high temperature load.
The engineering office of Jürgen Ehlenz from Beckingen, a long-time Dlubal customer, was responsible for the structural analysis of the grate scaffolding with moving parts, as well as for the construction and design of the piping.
The self-supporting member shell structure consists of vertical glued-laminated girders, horizontal steel tubes, and diagonal steel cables.
The tunnel formwork was calculated according to the second-order analysis, considering the motion and concreting situation.
The cyclone represents the gas purification system of Furnace A in the Belgo Mineira metallurgical plant in Brazil.
The model includes interior staircases and partition walls.
In the multi-story administration building, the spatial interaction of the stiffening wall and ceiling surfaces was necessary for stiffening the building.
The structure of the cooling towers in Hamburg, Germany had to be recalculated according to the current standards to find possible capacity reserves.
The structure represents a part of the entire model.
The building was designed according to Eurocode 2.
Allianz Arena is a soccer stadium in Munich, Germany, which hosted the opening match of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. The stadium became a new landmark of the city. The translucent exterior facade of the stadium shines light in various colors and thus makes the whole arena building very special.
The structure of the steel hall for a swimming pool at Therme Meran spa consists of rigid rectangular hollow section columns bearing a roof structure rigid in two directions. The model was calculated according to the second-order analysis, considering inclination and precamber.
The following model was analyzed for a load case during a presentation at the Systems fair in Munich in 2002.
The picture shows only a segment of the entire arena. The structure includes a total of 67 load cases and 6 load combinations. The calculation time of all load cases is approximately 2.5 minutes (Pentium IV, 1.99 GHz, 512MB RAM).
The world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle is threatened by cracks in the stonework.
Alexander Haage from IB Pfanner says: "We focused on the square tower of Neuschwanstein Castle.
The analysis of the roller coaster seat concerned a total of 6 load cases, 6 load combinations, and 1 result combination.
The Eden Project in Cornwall, United Kingdom is a complex of two huge biome buildings consisting of several domes and outdoor gardens. Inside the biomes, there are several thousand species of plants collected from many diverse climates and environments, which serve for biological studies and exhibitions. The Rainforest Biome was built in the second phase of The Eden Project’s development. It is kept at a tropical temperature and moisture level and covers over 1,000 varieties of tropical plants.
The lookout tower was designed as a line model in AutoCad and imported to RSTAB.
The figure shows deformations due to the self-weight load case.
Both railroad tracks are supported by four columns.
The building rests on seven columns and two wall surfaces. The front part has an overhang of approximately 9.8 ft.
The figure above shows the equivalent stress distribution under a concentrated load in the coordinate origin.
The model includes 115 load cases and 20 result combinations.
The engineering office of Klestil was in charge of both the architectural design and the structural analysis.
